Following a jury trial, defendant, Cornell Wright, was found guilty of attempt first degree murder, armed violence and aggravated battery and sentenced to a prison term of fifteen years for attempt murder. On appeal, defendant contends that: (1) the prosecutor made improper remarks during closing argument which denied his right to a fair trial; and (2) the trial court considered improper factors in sentencing him...
