Defendant, Gordon Francise, was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967C. He pled not guilty and filed a motion to suppress physical evidence and statements made to the police. After the trial court denied this motion, defendant withdrew his plea of not guilty, pled guilty as charged, and reserved the right to appellate review of the district court's denial of his motion to suppress.
