This is the appeal of the dismissal of a six-count amended complaint1 against the City of Tavares (the "City") and one of its police officers arising out of an alleged false (warrantless) arrest. The appellees urged the trial court to dismiss on the basis that the decision whether to arrest was a discretionary governmental function for which neither the City nor the officer could be liable under the doctrine of sovereign immunity...
