The defendant, Merchants Row, Inc., appeals from a jury verdict for the plaintiff, 21 Merchants Row Corporation, awarding $3,000,000 for breach of a lease, as well as $150,000 for interference with contractual relations, and $150,000 for violation of G.L.c. 93A (1990 ed.). We granted the defendant's application for direct appellate review, and we now reverse. The theory of the plaintiff's action was that the defendant wrongfully and unreasonably refused...
