We granted certiorari in this case to review the Court of Appeals' decision which affirmed the judgment of the circuit court and the subsequent order entered by the Court of Appeals, ex mero motu, requiring Petitioner Sally G. Young to endorse the $9,230.11 check which was the subject of the cause of action for conversion. See Young v. Century Lincoln-Mercury, Inc.,
