The issue presented by this appeal is the proper application of the term "identity of interest" in relation-back cases under Minn. R.Civ.P. 15.03. The court of appeals construed the term broadly in reversing the trial court's entry of summary judgment in favor of petitioner Hennepin Faculty Associates [hereinafter HFA].
