SCHLEGEL, Judge.

In late August 1988 Robert Henry and others allegedly robbed the home of eightyseven-year-old Francis Leonard. During the robbery Henry allegedly beat Leonard severely on the head. Leonard lived in a comatose state for four months and died on December 30, 1988, as a result of these injuries.
