The defendant, Stanford L. Frye, was charged with the crime of possession of cocaine with intent to sell by a person who is not drug-dependent in violation of General Statutes § 21a-278 (b).1 After a jury verdict of guilty, the defendant was sentenced to a prison term of fifteen years.
