The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of arson in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-112 (a), and insurance fraud in violation of General Statutes § 53a-215 (a) (l).1 On appeal, the defendant raises three claims.
