Plaintiff's ward was injured in a 1985 automobile accident. On June 27, 1986, plaintiff filed suit in the Court of Claims against defendant. Following a bench trial, a judgment in plaintiff's favor was entered in the amount of $887,154, plus postjudgment interest.
