COVELLO, J.

This is the defendant's appeal from his conviction of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a).1 The issues on appeal are whether the trial court: (1) erred in allowing into evidence the defendant's postarrest statements to the police; and (2) improperly limited the cross-examination of a state's eyewitness. We now affirm.
