This action arises out of an automobile accident which allegedly occurred when the 1984 Mercury Marquis station wagon being driven by defendant Catherine A. Nutting (hereinafter Nutting) drifted into the path of an oncoming vehicle while she was attempting to cope with a stalled engine.
