This case is a procedural nightmare.

In 1989, the Circuit Court for Baltimore City entered judgments in favor of appellees Killian and Balbos in the amounts of $1,800,000 and $2,000,000, respectively, as compensatory damages in asbestos-related claims.1 Those judgments were entered jointly and severally against a number of defendants, including Celotex Corporation.
