This appeal is before us on certification from the court of appeals pursuant to sec. 809.61 Stats. 1989-90. Thomas Hefty appealed the judgment of the circuit court for Waukesha County, Honorable Patrick L. Snyder, Judge, which required him to pay child support and maintenance to his former wife Jean Hefty.
