This is a direct appeal by Elbert C. Dixon from his conviction by a jury of one count of attempted first-degree murder, K.S.A. 1989 Supp. 21-3301; K.S.A. 1989 Supp. 21-3401. His sentence is 15 years to life imprisonment.
