David C. Gilles appeals from a judgment of conviction for party to the crime of defamation, contrary to secs. 939.05 and 942.01(1), Stats. Gilles primarily argues that he is entitled to a new trial because the circuit court failed to instruct the jury on his affirmative defense of "conditional privilege." He also challenges certain of the court's evidentiary rulings and its refusal to grant the jury's request...
