Plaintiffs John and Dorris Ash ("the Ashes") sue Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. ("Dean Witter") for the acts of William Baxter, a Dean Witter broker. According to the complaint, Baxter advised the Ashes to invest in a tax shelter without informing them that the investment had not been approved by Dean Witter.
