This criminal action involved the government's contention that the defendants were engaged in an international high level drug trafficking conspiracy in Bolivia and Mexico. The conspiracy was uncovered as part of a "sting" operation of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the U.S. Customs. The seven defendants, whose appeals are consolidated,1 are Mexican and Bolivian citizens who were arrested and charged...
