Plaintiffs Othar Russell, Donna Russell, Bobby Joe Russell, Carolyn Russell, Charles H. Sheffield, Margaret Sheffield, and Bonnie S. Brooks appeal from the district court's grant of summary judgment against them in favor of SunAmerica Securities, Inc. The district court found that a release signed by Plaintiffs and Southmark Financial Services, Inc., a corporation whose assets were purchased by SunAmerica, also released SunAmerica.
