Robert Hommel appeals an award of usury penalties equal to the principal balance due from Ruby Thweatt on a $30,000 promissory note and the trial court's judgment requiring him to repay the interest he had received and to pay Thweatt's attorney fees incurred in pursuit of her usury claim.
