On January 24, 1992, defendant, Mark M. Brown, appeared in Champaign County circuit court on two unrelated traffic charges. As a result of his behavior in court, the trial court found him to be in direct criminal contempt of court in each case and sentenced him for his contempt in each case to 180 days in the Champaign County Correctional Center, with each sentence to run consecutively to the other.
