In May 1984, Plaintiff-Appellant Donald C. Slawson filed this suit in the Western District of Oklahoma seeking to quiet title to his claimed interest in an oil and gas well and to obtain an accounting of the production from the well. The district judge dismissed Slawson's complaint for lack of subject matter jurisdiction, and this appeal followed. The panel abated Slawson's appeal because of ongoing state proceedings related to his claims...
