600 So.2d 1353 (1992)

Wallace A. EDWARDS v. TRUSTEES OF the LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Court of Appeal of Louisiana, First Circuit.

Writ Denied June 26, 1992.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

David W. Robinson, Baton Rouge, for plaintiff-appellee Wallace A. Edwards.

George Kim Johnson, Baton Rouge, for defendant-appellant Trustees of the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System.

Before MARVIN, FORET and GRISBAUM, JJ.

MARVIN, Judge.

In this declaratory action we affirm a judgment declaring that retirement under the judges' contributory retirement plan (LRS 11:558, as amended by Act 1063 of 1991) is "regular retirement" within the meaning of DROP (the deferred retirement option plan in LRS 11:447, as amended by Act 14 of 1990), and that the DROP option shall be made available to the plaintiff judge, who is a member of LASERS (Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System).
