Petitioners are private attorneys who were appointed to represent indigent criminal defendants under the Criminal Justice Act (CJA), 18 U.S.C. § 3006A. They have applied to this court for authorization under the CJA to pay their attorney for services that they argue were necessary to their adequate representation of their CJA clients.
