This case is before the court on the petition of Joan J. Almeida (Almeida) for certiorari to review a Superior Court judgment affirming a decision of the Tiverton Zoning Board of Review (the board). The board denied the petitioner's request for a variance and upheld the Tiverton building inspector's order to cease and desist certain construction on the petitioner's property.
