James Michael Leach instituted this action in the Circuit Court of Lowndes County, Mississippi, seeking damages against his father, Carl Leach, for injuries sustained in an altercation between the two. At trial, James Michael introduced medical bills incurred in the treatment of his injuries which totaled $2,085.90.
