On June 15, 1989, plaintiff Rural Electric Convenience Cooperative (RECC), an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, filed a four-count complaint in the circuit court of Macon County against Soyland Power Cooperative, Inc. (Soyland), the same type of corporation. The complaint explained that Western Illinois Power Cooperative, Inc. (WIPCO), of which RECC was a member, had merged with Soyland, and RECC claimed entitlement...
