MEMORANDUM

PADOVA, District Judge.

Plaintiff, a prisoner, filed suit alleging that defendants, employees of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, violated his rights, creating a cause of action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, as well as under state law. After a non-jury trial held on August 17-19, 1992, I make the following findings of fact and conclusions of law.1
