This appeal arises out of a suit for damages incurred when the vehicle driven by the plaintiff, Louise Bowers, was hit from behind by the vehicle driven by the defendant, Viator Opiela. Ms. Bowers and her husband filed suit naming as defendants, Opiela, her liability insurer, Allstate Insurance Company (Allstate), and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (State Farm) as uninsured motorist carrier for the Bowers.
