OPINION

JACKSON, Judge:

In a bench trial, Kevin H. Magee and his wife Lezlie Magee were convicted under Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-109(3)(b) (1990) of child abuse, a class B misdemeanor. The appellants filed separate appeals that have been consolidated for disposition in this appeal. We affirm both convictions.
