In 1983 John and Mary Sue Plohg owned a tavern. They purchased a group health insurance plan from N.N. Investors Life Insurance Company, Inc. Then on December 7, 1984 John was seriously injured in an automobile accident. The Plohgs attempted to collect on the health insurance for their medical expenses, but after its investigation of the accident the insurance company declined to pay. It contended that because John's accident was caused by his intoxication...
