Defendant, Jimmie Lee Watson, Sr., was charged with distributing cocaine in violation of La.R.S. 40:967(A)(1) by grand jury indictment. He was found guilty on May 21, 1991. Defendant then filed motions for a new trial and for post verdict judgment. The State also filed an habitual offender bill against the defendant.
