This is a suit for personal injury brought under 33 USCA § 905(b). Plaintiff-appellants, Donald and Tamra Thompson, sued defendant-appellee, Penrod Drilling Company for injuries allegedly sustained by Mr. Thompson while working as a tong operator on a jack-up rig owned by Penrod. After a jury trial on the merits, the jury found no negligence on the part of Penrod. Plaintiffs moved for judgment notwithstanding the verdict, and alternatively...
