In May of 1986, LaMar Stevenson, having been delinquent on several premiums due on a life insurance policy with Chubb Life American, was cancelled by Chubb. Stevenson then sought new life insurance coverage on himself through Roger Fleiss, an insurance salesman, and Talbert Corporation,1 Fleiss's employer at all times relevant
