Upon a jury verdict, plaintiffs, James O. Wyatt and Mary M. Wyatt, his wife, (Wyatts), recovered a judgment against defendants, David Bearden and Sharon Bearden, his wife, d/b/a Bearden Insurance Agency, (Beardens), and Columbia Mutual Insurance Companies (Columbia) for $18,750. The judgment was based upon Beardens' negligent loss of Wyatts' check delivered to Beardens' office for payment of a renewal premium for a policy of fire and extended coverage...
