This action is a suit for damages in tort alleging defamation. The plaintiffs are Neuberger, Coerver & Goins (NCG), a commercial partnership of accountants, and John J. Coerver, individually, a member of the partnership. The defendants in this appeal1 are The Times-Picayune Publishing Co. (TP), and Diane Loupe, a TP staff writer.
