Raymond James Alexander was indicted for the armed robbery of Trustmark National Bank in Liberty, Mississippi. On October 16, 1989, he pleaded guilty to the charge pursuant to a plea bargain agreement under which the prosecution agreed to recommend a sentence of no more than fifteen (15) years imprisonment. The Circuit Court of Amite County accepted the agreement and sentenced Alexander to fifteen (15) years in the custody of the Mississippi...
