Dale Martin filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. In response, First National Bank of LaGrange attempted to have several loans it had advanced to Martin declared nondischargeable under 11 U.S.C. §§ 523(a)(2)(A) and (B) as having been obtained through fraud. The bankruptcy court ruled that the loans were dischargeable, finding no fraud. The district court affirmed. First National Bank...
