Anthony Merriman, Milton Shubbie, Kenneth Dukes, and Joseph Reed were charged by bill of information with the crime of manufacturing methamphetamine, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(A). Following a 13-day trial, the jury found the defendants guilty of attempted manufacture of methamphetamine, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(A) and LSA-R.S. 40:979.
