After a joint jury trial, codefendants, William DeBusk and Edward Shriner, were convicted of home invasion (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 12-11) and armed robbery (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 18-2). De-Busk was sentenced to 25 years' imprisonment and Shriner was sentenced as an habitual offender to a term of natural life in prison. On appeal, Shriner asserts that (1) the trial court erred in not granting defense...
