This appeal concerns a dispute between a multiemployer benefits fund and a former contributing employer. The Fund appeals from a judgment in favor of the employer, Malden Mills Industries, Inc. The United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts found — on the basis of a comprehensive stipulation of the undisputed facts and after hearing oral argument1
