Defendant, Eric Loferski, was convicted of delivering more than 15 grams of a controlled substance (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 56V2, par. 1401(a)(2)) following a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County. Defendant was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of seven years.
