SEXTON, Judge.

The defendant, Douglas Lowery, was charged by bill of information with one count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966(A)(1), and one count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:979 and LSA-R.S. 40:966. After a trial by jury, the defendant was convicted as charged on both counts. On the possession with intent to distribute conviction, the defendant was sentenced to 28 years...
