This appeal arises from an award for personal injuries sustained in an automobile accident. On January 5, 1983, at approximately 6 a.m., Melissa Gilbert attempted to pass an automobile and a tractor/trailer truck in a no-passing zone on a 2-lane highway in Plaquemines Parish.
