A jury in the circuit court of McHenry County found defendant, Stacey Ann McLain, guilty of first degree murder (Ill. Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)(2)) and failure to stop after having an accident involving personal injury or death (Ill.Rev. Stat.1987, ch. 95½, par. 11-401(a)). Defendant was sentenced to 32 years in prison for the murder conviction and 360 days...
