This is an appeal from the Circuit Court of George County, Mississippi, wherein the Appellant was convicted of simple assault on a law enforcement officer, as well as resisting arrest. He was sentenced to serve one (1) year in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and six (6) months in the county jail.
