A state court jury convicted Herbert W. Harris of forcible rape, assault, burglary, robbery, armed criminal action, and exhibiting a deadly weapon in a threatening manner. The jury recommended sentences totalling 105 years plus life imprisonment, and the trial court ordered the sentences to run consecutively.
