HIGHTOWER, Judge.

A jury found Leonard Thomas guilty as charged of second degree murder, LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. After denying post-trial motions, the district court sentenced him to a mandatory term of life imprisonment. Reserving six assignments of error, he now appeals. For the following reasons, we affirm.
