GUIDRY, Judge.

In this suit over unpaid wages, the defendant, City of Lake Charles (hereafter sometimes referred to as the City), appeals only that part of the trial court's judgment which awards plaintiff, Albert Wayne Sensat, $5,000 in penalties.
