Following a jury trial in the circuit court of McLean County, defendant Mark Donnelly was convicted of home invasion (Ill. Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-11(a)(2)) and sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. He now appeals his conviction, claiming (1) the State did not prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of entering the victim's home without authority and, therefore, he could not be convicted of home invasion; ...
